Members to this group are selected by the moderators, at their discretion, based upon the content of the prospective members gallery, we reserve the right to admit or remove members based on the continued quality of their submissions.

We welcome everyone to request membership, however, as we will be holding this group to a high standard, we will only admit members with a high quality gallery.

If you have an interest in joining our administrative panel, you must first be accepted as a member, then you may submit a request to the group in a note.

Dramatic: sensational in appearance or thrilling in effect making a strong or vivid impression

This group highlights the most dramatic images on DA with a focus on high quality photography that conveys a sense of heightened drama and effect. Images must be aesthetically pleasing with something to make the stand out from the mundane.

All declined images will be given a short response as to why if asked by ther submitter.

Guidelines:

Photography Only. Images may use techniques/tools including: HDR, IR Photography, Panorams & Tiny world Stitching, Focus stacking for macros, Exposure blending, Simple Cloning, Texturing, layers & masks as long as the quality and impact remain high and the submission is still in the area pertaining to photography whether digital or film.

Extremely edited pieces will be scrutinized, we stress that it needs to look photographic and realistic. Pieces edited outside of of the realm possibility will again be scrutinized and over edited work will be refused. (ie. No halos & over-saturation in HDR please)

We do not accept photomanipulations, which are images that have been composed of two or more photographic elements to create something new.

Use of stocks will not be allowed. The work you submit must be your own.

You may submit 2 images per week.

Only 1 image from the same series will be accepted. Please submit a variety of work.

We require submissions to be large enough to adequately evaluate. Images smaller than 600 pixels may be declined for that reason.

Images submitted to the wrong category may be declined.

Images with the DA Watermark will be declined. If you want to have your work watermarked for protection, please take the time to create a well placed one that does not destroy your work in the process.

Please note that we hold ourselves and our members to very high standards here at Dramatic Photography, therefore we do have a zero tolerance policy here on abuse of staff or the group system.

If you submit work only to remove it immediately or try to re-submit it later, your membership may be revoked.
If you are disrespectful to our Dramatic Staff, your membership here will be revoked.

This group publishes a news article entitled Dramatic Insights where featured artists will each answer questions about their photography style to go along with their work so that we may all learn more about the processes and inspiration that go into these stunning images.
